Association for Rehabilitation of Village and Impairment (ARVI)

Registered under the Indian Trust Act of 1882 since 1995. We work towards the upliftment of indigenous, downtrodden, vulnerable, weaker sections of the (SC/ST/OBC & minority) and rural community in India for the past 22 years. The trust is also registered under the foreign contribution (Regulation) Act 1976, Government of India Ministry of Home Affairs along with registered u/s. 80G & 12A.
We have established a successful partnership with government organizations, NGOs and individuals who work with people with disabilities in the Middle and South Zone of Tamil Nadu. ARVI is the nodal agency for implementing the Differently Abled and Vulnerable Development Programs.

ARVI TRUST strives towards creating a positive, enduring change in the lives of children, families and communities living in abject poverty and undue inequality. Irrespective of religion, caste, creed, race, ethnicity or gender, ARVI Trust extends a helping hand to anyone and everyone who deserves it. With a wide network spanning 10 locations in India, ARVI Trust lends help through long-term sustainable community programs and immediate disaster relief assistance.

Objectives

ARVI is an NGO that strongly believes differently-abled children can learn to lead a normal life if they have effective access to services like early identification, intervention, education, vocational training, employment opportunities and the availability of aids and appliances.

The objective of this programme is to help the children overcome their physical and mental limitations so that they can become independent and self-reliant members of the community. The overall objective of ARVI is to help create a bright future for those with an intellectual and developmental disability and who have very limited resources to help them achieve this.

Our Mission

To improve the ability of differently abled persons by their involvement and participation in the development process, by promoting their Rights & Rehabilitation. Providing resource and training agency to build the capacity of Rehabilitation Professionals, CBR workers & Differently abled people, Providing special education, communication skills and Daily living activities with Physiotherapy and Speech therapy with appropriate educational techniques. Providing skill training and awareness education to Persons with Disabilities and Stake holders, volunteers, teachers and community leaders.

A just social order brought about by the dispossessed claiming their right to dignity and identity through enhanced democratic participation and structural transformation. We strongly believe that an end to poverty and injustice can be achieved through purposeful individual and collective action, led by the active agency of people living in poverty and supported by solidarity, credible rights-based alternatives and campaigns that address the Structural causes and consequences of poverty.
